VSA – Chapter 36: The Villain is Ready to Become a Full-fledged Villain. ②

Translator: Haruto.

Having shared my strategy with everyone, I head over to the vending machine, which is found at the end of the hallway that separates the girls’ and boys’ rooms.

I take out my phone and text Tajima who gave me his number earlier.

— Yuuji: Tajima, have you come up with the message that you’ll be sending to your ex?

— Tajima: Yeah.

He texted me back right away.

“Great. Let’s do this…”

Before I put my phone back in my pocket, however, I hear another ping coming from it.

— Tajima: Are you sure about this strategy, though? If things go south, you’ll…

It looks like he’s actually worried about me, even though he had such a terrible opinion of me at first… Oh well, I’m just glad to see that he no longer thinks I’m a bad guy.

— Yuuji: Don’t worry about me and focus on yourself instead. Participating in this strategy won’t be easy for you either. You’ll have to deal with the girl you broke up with after you fell for Rina.

— Tajima: L-Let’s not talk about that right now!

— Yuuji: Alright, my bad. Anyway, you don’t have to worry about me. You guys just have to do as I instructed and leave the rest to me. You don’t have to care about what happens to me next.

……

………

“If he says so… I-I guess I’ve got no choice…”

Tajima looks at the message he wrote for his ex-girlfriend and hesitantly presses the send button.

“Ah, I sent it…” He then leaves the phone on the table and holds his head in his hands.

Ping!

“Eeek?!”

Risa replies in less than a few seconds. Tajima peeks at his phone’s screen and gulps. He takes a screenshot and sends it to Yuuji right away.

“I’m a nervous wreck here, but… I can’t help but worry more about Kasashima.”

Anxious, Tajima checks the text he sent to Risa one more time.

— Tajima: We need to talk… Can you come to my room? Rina-chan will be here, too.

— Risa: Okay.

***

With a displeased look on her face, Risa arrives at Tajima’s room.

“I totally don’t care what you have to say, okay?!  Not after you fell for some other woman and threw me to the side like thrash!”

“I-I’m sorry.”

“Where’s Sumino anyway? Were you lying or something?”

“Rina-chan will be here soon… Ah, sorry, I’m getting a call so I’ll have to step out of the room for a second.”

“Hmm. Alright.”

Tajima puts his phone on his ear as he leaves the room. After he’s gone, Risa takes the envelope containing all the money out of her jacket.

“That Kasashima guy… He’s made a mess of my plan! Why did he have to get in my way…?!” She clicks her tongue, visibly annoyed.

As Yuuji predicted, the one who stole the money was indeed Risa. And the reason was…

“But like, why didn’t he ever suspect that bitch…? Agh! Whatever, things might have not worked out this time, but I’m not giving up. I need to pay Sumino Rina back for what she’s done… How dare she seduce my boyfriend…?!”

…because she wanted to take revenge on Rina.

While mumbling curses under her breath, Risa moves to put the envelope inside Tajima’s bag, knowing she can’t use it anymore… However, an idea suddenly flashes through her mind.

“If I put it under the bed… I can make it seem like Tajima’s carelessness caused all of this! I’m a freaking genius! Haha!”

Risa can simply tell Tajima something along the lines of “Hey, maybe it’s under the bed?” and then everyone will assume that he just didn’t search well enough and the whole issue will be put to rest.

She bends down to place the envelope under the bed, without realizing that the door of the room is beginning to open.

“Hmm… there…” And as soon as she places the envelope down—

Click, click, click!!

“Huh?! Who’s there?!” The sound of someone taking multiple pictures is heard.

Risa raises her face in a panic and her surprise increases further when she lays eyes on the person before her.

“Sup, Tajima’s ex… What were you putting under the bed just now?”

In front of her stands not her ex-boyfriend Tajima… but the guy who ruined her plan, Kasashima Yuuji.
