One beat later, I see two girls appear behind him—the same routine as always.

“Ha! It is, though! After all, Yuito and I are the best of buddies!”

“Mahiro-chan, Rina-chan, what will you do during the summer break?” Yuito asks.
“I’ll go anywhere as long as I’m with you, Yuito,” replies Mahiro.
“I wanna go to the beach! Can you choose a swimsuit for me, Yui-kun?” asks Rina.
“Yay! Let’s go to the beach together!” Yuito exclaims.
I take a look around and notice a few of my classmates throwing little glances at the two sisters, apparently wishing to invite the two of them to hang out during the summer break, but… Yuito and the sisters seem to be enjoying their little chat so much that it makes it hard for the other boys to ask them out, huh.
Thankfully, I’ve already developed a resistance to their antics.
“…”
“Hm?”
Rina’s staring at me.
“Kasashima, if you want to tag along, I might just allow it, but you need to ask nicely, okay?”
“Excuse me? I invited Yuito to the beach first. You should be asking me for permission. Isn’t that right, Yuito?”
“You did invite me first, Yuuji-kun!”

Lately, I’ve had more chances to chat and kid around with Rina. I think it’s kind of nice that we’re getting closer, and if it also helps me avoid the bad ending, well, all the better.
